Job Overview
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Oversight : Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Site Management : Coordinate day-to-day activities, including site safety, quality control, and subcontractor performance.
- Scheduling : Develop and maintain construction schedules, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to keep projects on track.
- Subcontractor Coordination : Oversee the work of all subcontractors, ensuring proper execution of tasks in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Quality Control : Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Budget Management : Work with project managers to track budgets and manage cost-effective operations.
- Problem Solving : Address and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process, including delays, material shortages, and personnel challenges.
- Client Communication : Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Safety Enforcement : Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site to maintain a secure work environment.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including labor, materials, and equipment used.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, particularly on commercial and / or residential projects.
- Familiarity with construction management software and scheduling tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of local building codes, OSHA regulations, and industry safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and construction documents.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected challenges.
