Job Overview :
Assists in the daily operation of the Monmouth County Screening Center by performing receptionist duties and general clerical duties.
Qualifications : Required :
Required :
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Role requires comprehension of medical terminology
- One to three years prior clerical experience required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid N.J. State Driver’s License
Preferred :
- Trade / vocational training preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Skilled and trained in reception, customer relations, and office procedures
- Typing and word processing (minimum of 25 wpm), data entry, office machinery, medical terminology preferred
- Basic knowledge of coding, billing and insurance preferred
Scheduling Requirements :
Per Diem Day- Hours Vary
Essential Functions :
- During high patient volume and / or acuity, assists by answering telephone lines and routing clinical calls to screening staff
- Completes registration for off-site services, assists in the collection of statistical information, assists in payroll, takes minutes from various PESS meetings
- Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors / walls / ceiling tiles / unsecured areas), etc.
