Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our repair shop. As an Diesel Mechanic, you will assist our foreman by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles performance and function.
As an Diesel Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe repair shop environment.
The ideal candidate is skilled in various diagnostics platforms, a good communicator, works well with others, & although knowledgeable willing to continue to learn.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop
- Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
- Diagnostic of various manufacturers Medium to Heavy duty truck & equipment. (Mack, Hino, PB, IH, KW, Volvo, Freight-liner, Isuzu, Cummins, ETC)
- Electrical trouble shooting & repair.
- Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes (Able to complete a thorough - Annual Federal Safety DOT Inspections)
- Maintain a safe & pleasant work environment
