Description :

The department operates with one CT room.

The position involves covering x-ray after hours from 11 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM unless there is a high volume of CTs.

The role involves performing imaging studies on adults and pediatrics.

Common studies include strokes, STEMI, trauma, abdominal pain, head injury, kidney stones, and CTA.

There is a high volume of outpatient CTs scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

The department utilizes a PACS and Centralized Response Team Inquiry System (CRTIS) for operations.

Specific equipment used includes Philips 128 slice primary and Philips 16 slice backup, along with Bracco injectors.

Radiologists are not on-site.

The schedule involves a combination of team and self-scheduling.

Weekend requirements are variable based on the weekly schedule.

Holiday requirements include working every other holiday.

The department is fast-paced with a focus on teamwork.

Staff report positive experiences working within the department and community.

RTO is needed upfront, and additional requests for time off will not be approved.

The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment.

Charting is completed using Meditech.

A BSN is not required for this position.
