Responsibilities :

Own every facet of design on multiple projects, including research, prototyping, testing, refinement, and handoff

Ability to lead client creative workshops to help our entire team find solutions to business problems. You enjoy working with creative frameworks and enjoy refining discovery processes.

Ability to conduct thorough UX research from multiple sources to inform design recommendations.

Understand the project business metrics and how to translate them into design requirements; ability to meet client objectives through design

A strong sense of aesthetics and visual design

Up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in design capabilities, trends, and aesthetics

Ability to move quickly without cutting corners or not performing due diligence

Demo work to client stakeholders and translate feedback into updated work

Expertise in :

Designing thoughtful, research-informed web and native applications for desktop, mobile / tablet devices

Running UX research sessions and exercises, performing user interviews, and testing

Creating interactive prototypes for client demos and user testing

Figma, and all of the industry best practices. You find auto layout a necessity and want to work with teams that strive for the bleeding edge of design tooling

Creating scalable design systems from scratch

Being an advocate for design and the end-user on every project

Working on a highly collaborative product Scrum team; working closely with developers and engagement managers to find engaging solutions to complex problems

Ability to share knowledge to elevate everyone nearby

Create, manage, and thoughtfully implement scalable UI design systems

Ability to edit css to style components if needed, Ability to create micro interaction animations with javascript

Position Requirements

6+ years of UX / product-specific design experience

A degree in HCI, UX, or a related field is a plus

A mastery of product design fundamentals, heuristics, and best practices

Strong interpersonal skills in listening and effectively communicating and defending ideas, decisions, processes, research, and rationale to product teams and client stakeholders

A working knowledge of front-end development that informs design decisions and communication with development teams

You are highly collaborative and find working with others results in a more effective product and overall client happiness. You play well with other designers and anyone else that is on your project team

Time and task-management skills; strong sense of organization.

Must be legally authorized to work in the US

Must not require visa sponsorship or have work authorization based on OPT / CPT

Bonus / Extra Credit :

2+ years of consulting experience concurrent with product design experience

Desire to mentor teammates to elevate team contributors

Be an early explorer and adapter of new technologies and design landscapes

Experience and interest in other design subdisciplines or relevant fields (Front-end development, Branding, Illustration, Copywriting, Psychology, Analytics, Ethnography, Etc.)

Our team of about 50 Townies consists of Product Research & Design, Engagement Managers, Business Analysts, Front-end and API developers, and QA.
