Customer Care Specialist

In this customer support role you will represent all Medeco employees to our customers. This is not a typical call center role.

Position Summary : The Customer Care Specialist will provide our customers and sales specialists with an inside contact for reviewing orders, getting status information, and expediting.
Essential Functions :
- Take customer inquiries via telephone or email, and enter information and notes into system.
- Make calls to customers to solicit additional business or information
- Assist the Sales Specialists in meeting customer needs for information, products or services
- Assist peers in a team oriented environment
- Learn basic technical aspects of the locksmith industry including, but not limited to, technical manuals, prints, etc.
- Take calls, enter orders and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to meet and exceed established customer satisfaction metrics
- Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures.
- Other duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications :
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience required
- Customer service or call center experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and sales specialists to meet customer needs
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude
- High energy and self-directed - ability to work without close supervision
- Comfortable with a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Ability to conduct live order entry
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft applications
- Must be available to work 9 : 30AM to 6 : 00PM Monday - Thursday, 8 : 30AM to 5 : 00PM on Friday
- Flexible to work overtime as needed

- Ability to remain seated or stand for long periods of time while using phone and working on a computer or documentation, etc.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment.
- Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and / or in paper format.
- Ability to interact with a diversity of people and diverse levels of personnel.
- Ability to travel as necessary for the positions described.
