Construction Operations Manager - Commercial Concrete and Roadway Construction

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Construction Operations Manager with a strong background in commercial concrete and roadway construction.

In this role, you will supervise a variety of construction projects, ensuring high-quality work is completed on schedule and within budget.

You will direct multiple crews on various operations, including excavation, demolition, drain structure adjustments, base course installation, and concrete work for both roadway and other commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee and direct multiple crews on commercial concrete and roadway operations, including excavation, demolition, drain structure adjustments, base course installation, and concrete work.
• Schedule and coordinate all subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and other relevant parties.
• Ensure all subcontractors adhere to safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain quality control standards and ensure they are met throughout the project.
• Coordinate required inspections with relevant parties.
• Monitor project schedules, provide updates weekly, and ensure projects stay on track.
• Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings and daily tailgates with the crew.
• Complete daily logs and upload progress photos.
• Maintain good relationships with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and inspectors.

Required Skills :

• Strong technical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in commercial concrete and roadway construction.
• Experience reading plans and specifications.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with project management applications such as Planswift, Smartsheet, ProCore, Building Connected.
• Knowledge of heavy machinery and its maintenance.
• Experience with cloud-based reporting and project documentation.

Preferred Skills :

Bilingual : English and Spanish

Physical Considerations :

• Ability to work outside in changing weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs unassisted.
• Comfortable wearing required PPE : Hardhat, glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots.
• Ability to work on your feet all day if necessary.
