Travel Nurse (RN) - Tele/Stepdown (Telemetry/PCU) - Redlands, California - 897833

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Step down

Shift : Days / 7a-7 : 30p (12x3) 36 hours per week

Length : 13 weeks

Weekend Requirement- minimum of 2 weekends / month (could be more)

Oxygen face masks; Non-invasive airway management; Tracheostomy Management; Isolation Precautions; Wound Care / Wound Vac

• AHA BLS
• ACLS
• Meditech Experience preferred
• Post Cardiac Angiogram; IV insulin protocols; Titration of Insulin drips; Titrate Cardiac drips; Pre / Post neurosurgery preferred

Other Details :

• Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler
• Float within areas of competency (med / surg, tele, obs). Omnicell med system. SBAR communication
• Non-titrated cardiac drip management (Amiodarone, Milrinone, lasix, cardizem (titrated), dopamine and dobutamine)
• 1 : 3 with trachs and ventilator management required
• Will consider first time travelers with PCU experience with 1 : 3-4 ratios
• Insulin 3 : 1 preferred (not required)
• COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline) : Required + Booster - Medical / Religious Exemptions only
• Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline) : Required - Medical / Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed
• No locals within 50 miles.

PLEASE NOTE : 1 : 3 with trachs and ventilator management REQUIRED

Non-titrated cardiac drip management (Amiodarone, Milrinone, lasix, cardizem (titrated), dopamine and dobutamine) required.

Insulin 3 : 1 preferred (not required)

Certifications REQUIRED : NIH, ACLS, BLS (AHA only, no HeartCode)

Meditech Experience Preferred

Will consider first time travelers with PCU experience with 1 : 3-4 ratios

Provider support includes Interpretation Services, Lift Teams, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Unit Secretary.

Intensivist and Hospitalist provider coverage.

• Skills / Experience REQUIRED : MS / Tele; Telemetry; PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown; Management / Interpretation of dysrhythmias;
• Telemetry -on the unit monitoring; Use of Rapid Response Teams; Post MI; Feeding tube care and management; Pre / Post Hemodialysis Management;
• Renal failure; Accessing Ports; BPA; Central line care / management; Peripheral Line Care / Management; PICC line management;
• Starting IVs; Heparin Protocols; Manage Cardiac drips- no titration; Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration; CVA; Care of Ventilated Patient;
• Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleur-evac; External CPAP / BIPAP; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); Interpretation of ABGs; Nasal Cannula;

Oxygen face masks; Non-invasive airway management; Tracheostomy Management; Isolation Precautions; Wound Care / Wound Vac

Skills / Experience Preferred : Post Cardiac Angiogram; IV insulin protocols; Titration of Insulin drips; Titrate Cardiac drips; Pre / Post neurosurgery
