IT Business Analyst, Senior
Position Summary
The main role of the IT Business Analyst, Senior focuses on reducing financial and security risk by providing actionable and insightful data to enable the business in this changing technological landscape by supporting vendor management, financial, procurement services and metric reporting.
The position is viewed as an integral strategic partner and business liaison in assisting and collaboration in decision making that impacts EPD&A.
This role will be primarily supporting the Cybersecurity department. In addition, this role is responsible for reporting, analyzing, and providing recommendations on the alternative solutions, project strategy and deliverable prioritization, as well as system alternatives or enhancements to current systems.
Analyzes business needs, defines detailed requirements, and validates solutions with our internal and external partners.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office(OGO) 0-3 times a week or as business needs require.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting.
This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is :
Bay Area Minimum : $105,000
Bay Area Maximum : $169,000
Job Responsibilities
Business Analysis :
- Responsible for Financial Planning Analysis and Reporting for the Cybersecurity department, which includes monthly actual reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Responsible for the annual Business Plan Deployment / operating planning process
- Assist with resource planning for project and baseline activities utilizing headcount and contractor management governance
- Assist with Project portfolio management and prioritization along with strategic road map
- Assistance in streamlining operational processes and procedures by looking for Waste Elimination opportunities
- Business Case Analysis
- Provide regulatory support and guidance along with alignment with the True North Strategy
Qualifications
Minimum :
- BA / BS in Business Administration, Accounting or other relevant discipline or 4 years of equivalent job-related experience
- Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft products
Desired :
- 5+ years of job-related experience in Business Administration or Accounting
- SAP knowledge
