Manufacturing Engineering Resource, Inc. is seeking a Part Time / Full Time shop position.

We design and manufacture custom industrial automation equipment. (ROBOTS!) It is a cool and nerdy type of job / career. Over the years we have found the best luck in training good people regardless of their previous skill sets in this area.

Qualifications are :

Ethics - honesty, integrity, and willingness to put in a day of work.

Intelligence - We can train someone to have many different skills. We cannot train common sense.

Drive - The motivation to be better than you are and to learn more.

Organization - We have a lot of moving parts. Literally!

Bonus qualifications :

Neat - Neat freaks highly desirable.

Nerdy - Science fiction movies, video games, and other weird personality traits.

Experience desired but not required.

Skill sets to learn include but are not limited to : welding, machining, fabrication, electrical panel wiring, parts assembly, computers, software, and troubleshooting.

We start people without experience in lower level jobs such as floor sweeping, cleaning, snow-blowing, tapping, grinding, etc.

This allows us to learn what they could be good at and what interests they may have. Ideally someone is on these types of jobs for only a few months before acquiring skills in one of the other areas and quickly moving "up the ladder".

Willingness to learn and intelligence will take you far.

After getting good at what we do you will have skills that last for life.

For more information, it is useful to see what is in the building. It can be daunting or inspiring depending on your personality.
