As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers and specialists, you will be responsible for developing and supporting rocket engine assembly processes.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight.

Throughout the manufacturing process, you will also identify, develop, and deploy methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules.

You will create, interpret, and modify work instructions and routings to convey procedures to technicians and trigger material planning.

Responsibilities :

Work onsite second shift M-F 2pm - 10 : 30pm

Qualifications :

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an accredited university.
• 5+ years direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience.
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing including working knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
• Ability to develop processes compliant to industry quality systems such as AS9100
• Extremely customer focused with strong verbal and written communication skills
• A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.

S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Must be physically able to :

• Support production floor activities
• Climb stairs and work in small areas
• Lift and carry 40 lbs.

Desired :

• Aerospace / Launch vehicle experience.
• Engines prep / install, valves, manifolds, quick disconnects, subassemblies, and / or aerospace structural build experience is a plus.
• Previous experience in build planning, setting build precedence, and
• Proficient with CAD, specifically Windchill, Creo, and Creo Illustrate
• Capability to analyze GD&T from design engineering to set index plans and / or develop tooling to meet requirements.
• Experience setting up work centers to build aerospace mechanical assemblies.
• A continuous improvement mindset. Our job is never complete; we are always optimizing.
• Broad experience in hardware manufacturing : assembly, integration, instrumentation, cleaning, non-destructive testing, leak testing, final acceptance testing of integrated hardware, fabrication, machining, etc.
