Research Assistant
We are seeking a who will be responsible for providing a range of research related support, including in the development of federal and privately funded grant proposals, presentation development, conducting literature reviews, composing research reports, writing press releases, and assisting with additional dissemination activities (policy fact sheets, video content, etc).
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Scholarship / Dissemination
- Prepare oral presentations that characterize progress, trends, and make appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
- Conceptualize, draft, and revise scholarly manuscripts.
- Work with the PI to develop dissemination materials for a multitude of audiences including families, policy makers, and public health officials.
Grant Development and Management
- Support the PI and grant writing team in the development of grant proposals for submission to federal and private funding agencies.
- Support in the preparation of protocols and documentation for submission to the Institutional Review Board.
- Support in the preparation of progress / final reports at the end of each funding cycle for federal and private funding agencies.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years' previous work experience providing research support.
Total Rewards
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins Universitys salary range for this position.
Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education / training and other qualifications.

Education and Experience Equivalency
Please refer to the job description above to see which forms of equivalency are permitted for this position. If permitted, equivalencies will follow these guidelines : JHU Equivalency Formula : 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education / experience required for the respective job.
