This position is located on Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
Essential Functions
Programatic oversight / administration functions for the Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental (OHSE) Program to include application of pertinent standards / regulations (e.
g., OSHA, NFPA 70E, ANSI, EM385, UES, etc.), in meeting RGNext contractual and customer requirements.
- Manage program databases, tracking processes and report development.
- Manage monthly contract reporting requirements / develop reports.
- Manage / conduct facility safety inspections & risk assessments (annual / custodial), develop reports and provide corrective action tracking.
- Assess organizational work activities / processes, develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), manage / track / deliver associated reporting requirements.
- Perform or assist in performing programmatic OHSE assessments / surveys (e.g., noise, confined space, respiratory protection, etc.).
- Support for / knowldege of electrical, asbestos, lead and PCB operations.
- Manage occupational medical programs (e.g., track / schedule physicals, provide hearing conservation / respiratory protection training & fit-testing).
- Manage or assist in managing the accident / incident response program, including strong investigation and report writing skills.
- Manage, assist or deliver training program requirements to include internal and contracted training (e.g., develop / deliver / track).
- Assist in budget development, purchase requisitions / ordering & tracking.
- Provide support for work scope review, environmental programs, ISO quality program / quality auditing, and USAV Worthy safety representation.
- Strong knowledge of program / project management and quality protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, rules and regulations with proficiency in applying them to programs & projects.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and data management skills, decision-making capability with ability to work independently & in a team.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point & TEAMS.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline, or a combination of education, & experience.
- Five (5) years of relevant OHS experience.
- BCSP certification, OHSA 510 or 511, EM-385, IH principles, and root cause analysis preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- This position is unaccompanied.
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
- Ability to lift between 30-50 lbs. and handle awkward loads.
- Ability to travel by boat, helicopter, or plane to work at remote sites within limited facilities. Work activites on outer islands is required.
Must have a waist circumference of 42 or less for helicopters.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Required to pass a Federal Background Investigation to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison, Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
