Controller

CB partners is looking for a Controller to join a $20M growing company in the event space in the city. If you love making sure a company remains profitable and reporting is exciting for you, as well as creating / improving processes and procedures, this is the position for you!

Location : Chicago, IL (West Town - free parking!)

Work Environment : On-Site (flexible work hours : 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm etc)

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and accounting personnel.

You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with government agencies
• Act as the point of contact for external auditors
• Maintain internal books and finances
• Analyze financial transactions for multiple entities under different legal umbrellas
• Complete monthly financial reporting for executive leadership
• Manage a small team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance & 5-10 years of Controller level experience
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• QuickBooks Experience required
• GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
