About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : Operating Room (OR) Technologist Job Duration : 16 weeks Shift : Days - 12-hour shifts from 7 a.
m. to 7 p.m. One weekend shift per month. Guaranteed Hours : Information not provided Experience : 12-24 months License : Information not provided Certifications : NBST, BLS Must-Have : 12-24 months of OR experience, NBST certification, BLS certification Job Description : Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by arranging equipment and ensuring sterilization of tools.- Pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants during operations.
- Assist in preparing patients for surgery, such as positioning them on the operating table and covering them with sterile drapes.
- Help count sponges, needles, and instruments used during operations to ensure no foreign objects are retained.- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room at all times.
- Monitor surgical equipment and report any issues to the necessary personnel.- Adhere to all hospital policies and health and safety regulations.
