Job Summary :
Fabricates test equipment for the development and manufacture of tactical hardware, including assembling cables, circuit boards, and complex multi-bay cabinets, while ensuring adherence to engineering drawings and specifications.
Job Requirements :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical fabrication (e.g., cable and harness, SMT board, test equipment).
- Ability to safety wire assemblies and connectors.
- Proficiency in soldering and repairing cables and harnesses.
- Strong knowledge and experience in repairing electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Familiarity with basic avionics and electronics.
- Ability to troubleshoot and isolate faults in components using general-purpose and automated test equipment.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers, and waveform generators.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and repair procedures.
- Knowledge of industrial standards, military specifications, and industry processes.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.
- Ability to work with hazardous materials.
Preferred Skills :
- Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711 / IPC-7721.
- Knowledge of fault isolation for electro-mechanical components.
- Experience with CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) rework and repair.
- Rework experience with Ball Grid Arrays (BGAs).
- Familiarity with hardware repair concepts.
Job Responsibilities :
- Fabricate and assemble test equipment such as test sets, test boxes, and cables following engineering drawings and schematics.
- Place and solder components onto circuit cards and subassemblies.
- Build wiring harnesses, perform connector pinning and depinning, and apply mounting hardware.
- Assemble single or multi-bay cabinet assemblies for delivery to Engineering or Manufacturing Production areas.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Fabricators, Procurement, and Quality Inspectors to address design or process issues.
- Use computer-based programs to update job status, track quality inspections, and document engineering changes.
- Handle electro-mechanical assembly repairs and troubleshoot equipment issues using automated test systems.
Pay Details : $28.00 to $31.00 per hour
