This opportunity entails being under close supervision, assist departments by performing basic assignments in the areas including, but not limited to Science, Planning, Technology.
This position is usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.
Our Plano, TX office seeks an Environmental Planning Intern for Summer 2025.
Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.
What You'll Do :
- Assists project team members with various support tasks.
- Conducts basic research and data collection.
- Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
- Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports.
- Performs other duties assigned.
What You'll Need :
Enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program
What We Prefer :
- Two years completion of post-secondary degree program
- Pursuing a major in and / or coursework experience in natural resources sciences, environmental planning / studies / sciences, land development planning, or civil engineering with a focus on or interest in environmental and / or transportation planning
- Awareness or general understanding of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
- Previous internship experience
- Works well in a team setting
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Document writing and editing skills
- GIS mapping and web research skills
- Familiarity using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
