This position will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the Corporate Reporting Team's work relating to cash flow reporting.

This role requires significant collaboration with internal stakeholders, owning the system architecture, advising teams on the cash flow accounting treatment, establishing and enforcing close timelines, coordinating with the SEC team, and statutory reporting teams globally in preparing key deliverables used by accounting, tax and finance leaderships.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partnering and collaborating with key stakeholders across the accounting organization.
  • Execute judgment to keep projects moving and ensure the right decisions are reached to close the books each month.
  • Escalating risks and issues as necessary to leadership.
  • Strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change across the organization.

Key job responsibilities

The individual in this role will be an individual contributor responsible for equity accounting, including primary ownership of global stock-based compensation (SBC).

This requires a high level of technical accounting knowledge (ASC 718) or willingness and ability to learn.

  • Participate in / manage month-end close and reporting activities
  • Identify and drive initiatives for accounting automation
  • Participate in monthly meetings with cross-functional leaders to discuss status of key equity-impacting matters
  • Support project launches by developing accounting requirements and assist with UAT

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of Fortune 500 operational accounting experience
  • Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
  • Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
  • Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients
  • Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
