The candidate will work on-site out of the Richardson, TX facility as a valued leader in the SAOC Program Team which is part of Collins Aerospace’s Mission Systems strategic business unit.
You will be responsible for leading the management of the program’s Earned Value Management System (EVMS) performance as the Program Manager.
This EVMS role will also lead the programs Risk and Opportunity (Rs&Os) management process. The candidate is expected to provide senior leader-level oversight and mentoring to the large Program Management and Engineering leadership structure on SAOC in the areas of EVMS and Rs&Os.
Remote is an option for this position.
What You Will Do
Ensures the SAOC program maintains a CPI / SPI of >
Provide senior leader-level guidance, leadership, and mentoring of the Program Management and Engineering leadership team on SAOC in EVMS and Rs&Os
Participates in all program IPT CAM reviews
Works with IPTs to identify cost / schedule risks before they impact program performance
Leads Tier 1 Risk and Opportunity Board
Focused on maintaining profitability targets at the program level
Works with key suppliers on tracking EVMS and identifying issues and solutions early
Consolidates and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s) and manages value-stream strategy and progress
Monitors strategic planning efforts for large and / or complex programs
Demonstrates continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality
Identifies and reacts to program problems and recommends solutions, such as allocation of resources, changing contractual specifications, and coordinating responses to customer action items
Leads monthly Integrated Program Management Data Analysis Report activity
Provide regular input into EAC reviews, Gate Reviews and Program Management Reviews
Lead team to successful Integrated Baseline Review
Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion
Manages contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs
Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience
Prior experience managing people is required
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Must have extensive Earned Value Management System experience, including on complex development programs

Risk management, mitigation and costing methodologies
Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Scheduling with Integrated Master Schedules / GANTT systems
Key artifacts to define the project (PMP)
Proficiency with Earned Value metrics, their derivation and interpretation
Appreciation of customer needs and relationships with ability to lead the customer community
Proven track record in delivering against business objectives
Experience in the defense industry as a supplier to government customers
Fluent with Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office suite applications
Understanding of business management information systems (i.e. SAP or equivalent)
Proven ability to lead and direct multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix environment

The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
