Essential Functions

  • Underwrite business purpose bridge or construction loans in compliance with credit guidelines.
  • Review loan files for completeness, identify missing documentation, and approve borrower background.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Processors, Managers and Closers to communicate guideline requirements and finalize loan scenarios.
  • Must be able to prioritize time sensitive deadlines.
  • Manage pipeline of 60+ loans with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze valuations for accuracy, risk and detail review of comparable market sales.
  • Participate in weekly pipeline meeting.
  • Identify and evaluate strengths, mitigating factors, and weaknesses of the loan request and escalate risks and issues.
  • Prepare and submit exception memos for scenarios falling outside guidelines.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities specific to department functions and activities.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by Manager.

  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on advanced excel skills.
  • Financial analytical analysis with math and general accounting knowledge.

    • Education and Experience

  • 2 years experience underwriting business purpose and / or multifamily, commercial lending.
  • 2 years experience reviewing guarantor and borrower background reports, valuation analysis, including entity documentation to determine ownership and borrower structure.
  • 5 years of analytical experience within financial services, commercial banking, or business purpose lending.
