Group Therapist - Per Diem / Weekends

This is a Per Diem Position that requires working at least 2 shifts per month on either a Saturday or a Sunday. There is an opportunity to work at either the The Quincy Center in Quincy, MA or on the inpatient units at Arbour Hospital in Jamaica Plain, MA.

The Group Therapist is an important member of the Arbour Hospital's inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The Group Therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on Arbour Hospital's inpatient psychiatric units.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals
• Facilitate 4 groups per day
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

Requirements

• Master's Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or in a related field required
• 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment program preferred
