• Fully remote, but preference for candidates residing in Texas. Candidates outside of the state of Texas will be considered if they meet all the skill requirements.

• Manager of Data and AI Governance
• will lead and manage the organization's enterprise data governance program. This includes ensuring the proper use, protection, and value creation of enterprise data assets across a statewide collaborative platform focused on improving healthcare outcomes, research, and operational efficiency.
• Key Responsibilities
• Program Leadership & Strategy
• Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance strategies, policies, and standards.
• Align governance objectives with business strategy, compliance, and ethical data use.
• Monitor and report on program maturity and progress.
• Lead change management initiatives to support adoption and sustainability.
• Workgroup Management
• Lead cross-functional governance workgroups, including :
• AI & Emerging Technology Governance
• : Oversee responsible AI usage, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Data Literacy
• : Promote data-driven decision-making through training and awareness.
• Data Security & Privacy
• : Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to enforce standards and regulations.
• Data Architecture
• : Ensure alignment between governance, infrastructure, and data platforms.
• Research & Innovation
• : Support responsible data use for research and advanced analytics.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Partner with internal institutions, governance committees, business leaders, and compliance teams to define and execute data strategy.
• Act as a liaison across business units to drive stakeholder engagement and adoption.
• Communicate governance initiatives and progress to executive leadership.
• Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks related to data misuse, breaches, and compliance gaps.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master's preferred) or equivalent experience.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $110.00 / hr.
