DESCRIPTION :
Duties : Produce business and technical architecture artifacts to aid business in decision making as well as satisfy audit requirements, including but not limited to product and business solution options, product evaluations, design decision logs, modernization assessment frameworks, blueprint and pattern design, and logical and deployment architecture diagrams.
Represent a product family for technical and solution governance as well as sit on the product cabinet advising on product direction.
Develop secure and high-quality production code, as well as review and debug code. Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business, business products, and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
Guide evaluation of current technology and lead the evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks.
Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes. Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
Provide feedback and propose improvements to architecture governance practices. Contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to various unanticipated worksites.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum education and experience required : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Solutions Architect, Senior IT Consultant, Senior Software Developer, IT Architect, or related occupation.
The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Solutions Architect, Senior IT Consultant, Senior Software Developer, IT Architect, or related occupation.
- Skills Required : Requires five (5) years of experience with the following : translating business requirements into robust and scalable integration solutions;
- formulating design methodologies, coding standards and define best practices to improve quality deliverables; producing integration architecture and strategy documents;
- end to end project handling from requirements, estimation, design, development and production support; databases such as Oracle, DB2, MySQL, or SQL Server;
- Java; J2EE; Application server such as Apache Tomcat, WebLogic or WebSphere. Requires two (2) years of experience with the following : defining the design principles and frameworks;
- Cloud Native Solutions : RedHat OpenShift Platform, K18s and Containerizations; Event Stream using Kafka; Messaging platforms such as IBM MQ;
- API management such as Apigee; MongoDB or another NoSQL database. Requires one (1) year of experience with the following : creating component design, server topology and deployment diagram;
translating complex business requirements into functional and technical components; working with technical team to define overall system architecture that is secure, scalable and reusable and ensure technologies and tools are up-to-date.
Job Location : 1111 Polaris Pkwy, Columbus, OH 43240. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to various unanticipated worksites.
Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
