Senior Group Manager, Technical Program Management

Expedia Product & Tech is looking for a Sr. Manager to lead a team of TPMs.

This role reports to TPSP’s Director of Program Management and is part of a cross functional Technical Program Management team delivering (and elevating best practices) across multiple branches of our Partner and Traveler Salesforce ecosystem.

The current focus of this position will be aligned to our Travel Partnerships & Media’ arm, providing amazing customer and stakeholder focus and delivering best-in-class technical solutions (Salesforce and more) for Sales and Service to support Expedia’s operational partners.

What you will do :

Line management and development of Technical Program Managers in their domain s including - team development and talent management, quarterly / semi-annual / EOY c onnects, performance management etc.

Ha ve overall responsibility for the success of projects in that portfolio - where you have PgMs assigned to support their ownership in driving new feature and change request development through every stage of the product life cycle and deliver incremental value using validated agile methodologies

Operate effectively within the organization's formal and informal structures by building relationships across departments and understanding the roles , perspectives , & business objectives of diverse partner groups as well as TPSP and TPM leadership

Support your team as the y engage with their Product cohort to drive alignment on delivery of strategic initiative priorities while keeping a balance for LODO , Run-the-Business & Continuous Improvement Pro jects.

Proactively and reactively s upport escalations, helping set clarity in expectations for resolution, and ensur ing our teams have visibility and resources to resolve pressing problems

Co-ordinate resource allocation, ensuring critical programs have proper TPM coverage. ( PgMs (Program Managers) will plan for their projects and / or portfolio with Product & Tech leadership , Partner with team Technology Directors / Senior Directors and their Product partners to understand the priorities within the domain and where the needs are for Program Management support working across team boundaries with multiple product and program managers to appropriately prioritize work to align with overall initiative, organization, and company goals

D evelop a framework or use and influence existing framework and standards / agreements to prioritize work across multiple business groups if needed and against capacity

Stay current on industry trends and serve as an expert on the software development lifecycle and agile engineering practices, coaching others when needed.

M anage or delegate priority Prod & Tech Governance work as assigned to enable the organization to scale; This includes programs (ongoing) or projects (with end date) and includes engagement with many groups across Expedia Group ( P rocurement , Training, Communications, other engineering teams).

Some Governance assignments include engineering engagement.

Who you are :

A diverse background in business and leadership.

Have these core Functional / Technical skills : Communication, Organization Design & Culture, Team & Community, Mentorship, Customer Focus, Process Skills & Techniques, & Business Acumen.

People leader with some p roven experience in line management including coaching and mentoring teams.

Effective communicator, able to connect key partners and help influence as well as drive a product and team vision and strategy , able to manage-up and clearly articulate options and trade-offs for emerging opportunities or ways to de-risk programs .

Flourish in simplifying complexity and understand the importance of "just enough process". Can break down complex information and can coach others to break down (e.

g., legal, operational risk, and regulatory data) into understandable terminology and actionable concepts.

Have experience with tools, systems, technology, and services.

Know and appreciate the difference between major business functions and roles. You build bridges and remove barriers.

Skilled in storytelling and persuasive influencing techniques that build trust with team and partners and establish long-term relationships.

Can roll up your sleeves to help support the team .

Srong strategic and critical thinking skills; ability to see the big picture while also diving into details when needed

Bachelor's o r master's degree in b usiness , Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience . 5 + years of Technical Program Management, 3 + years of People Management experience .

Experience with developing integration between CRM and other applications and implementing CRM features / custom apps to increase user efficiency, Salesforce Certifications highly preferred

S trong proficiency in managing Jira, helping teams with dashboards and roadmaps

Are flexible with the working hours required to meet with global internal technical and business partners

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.

00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
