Job Description

Position Title : Sales Representative

Position Reports To : Operations Manager

Territory : Southern California (Chino, CA)

Position Summary :

The Outside Sales Representative will establish relationships with current and target customers in their area. Our vision is to manage the safe and profitable development of Apache’s products and services, while developing and maintaining customer and supplier relationships.

Essential Functions

Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current and potential customers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Demonstrates and promotes Apache products and services to current and potential customers and help customers determine which products / services to current and potential customers.

Research new product development, industry standards and processes to assist in preparing client presentations.

Collaborates with operational leadership to develop sales strategies to meet company goals.

Implements strategic sales and marketing plans within the assigned area of responsibility.

Partners with operations to develop quotes and proposals for clients.

Presentations of quote to clients / customers in a professional manner.

Represents Apache favorably. Always conducts business in a professional and ethical manner. Upholds all company and customer policies, procedures and guidelines and holds others accountable for doing the same.

Tracks and sources equipment for projects (as required)

Develops working knowledge of applicable legislation and regional labor collective agreements.

Develops working knowledge for erecting and dismantling of Apache Scaffold and Shoring Scaffold systems and procedures.

Assists in preparation of annual budgets.

Prepare monthly rolling revenue / sales forecast.

Maintains an up-to-date quote log, enter quotes into CRM system and submit weekly reports.

Clear, concise, consistent communications with Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Management throughout all stages of the sales process.

Maintains electronic records of existing customers and potential opportunities.

Responds appropriately to customer questions, concerns, expectations, and complaints.

Job-site visits as required.

Represents Apache in industry-recognized organizations, conferences and events as an active participant and / or in a leadership role.

Assists management in project contract negotiations.

Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive construction services sales experience in within the industrial, commercial, specialty services, or related industry.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction, Engineering, or another industry-related field preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.

Established industry network and regular participation / leadership in industry recognized organizations.

Demonstrated success in creating and articulating complex strategies and plans to both executive management and peers.

Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and influence others positively.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.

Frequent travel to work sites and offices (driving and / or flying).

Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

No adverse environmental conditions expected.
