Job Summary :
The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Program Coordinator to join our team of professionals.
Duties Include :
- Coordinates the day-to-day operations for the PhD programs in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine. Assists with all departmental purchases including ordering supplies as needed.
- Assists creating travel requests for the graduate students and faculty as needed.
- Assists in maintaining and scheduling the calendar for the program director as it pertains to travel and course coordination for the program.
- Assists in the preparation of course submissions to the faculty senate.
- Responds to inquiries from students and / or prospects about the PhD in Biomedical Science and Translational Medicine programs.
Communicates and informs students on upcoming events, activities, and official university functions for the graduate programs.
- Monitors IT needs, assists with general technical issues, and requests assistance when needed.
- Assists in conducting orientation for the graduate programs. Oversees all logistics for assigned orientations, such as scheduling, room reservations, development and preparation of materials and student IDs.
- Collects and reviews supporting application materials in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) for the graduate programs.
- Prepares and distributes evaluations for the courses of the graduate programs. Ensures receipt of completed evaluation surveys and tally results.
- Performs other related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
- Travels between Modesto A. Maidique campus, Baptist, and CTS when needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience.
Desired Qualifications :
Previous experience in coordinating higher education programs and / or administrative experience in a higher education environment.
