Huron Woods is seeking the top candidate and accepting applications for a highly motivated Admissions & Financial Services Representative.

The purpose of this position is to gather resident information before & upon admission to assure proper placement of the resident into our facilities care.

Essential Functions of Admissions & Financial Services manager include, but are not limited to :

Gather sufficient pre-admission data to determine resident level of care, pay source and ability of the facility to properly care for the resident.

Interact with discharge planners in a timely, effective & efficient manner. Asking for and obtaining all of the necessary information required to make an admission decision.

Greet & escort new residents to their new home. Ensure that all documentation, forms and information are signed and properly communicated to the resident and / or their representatives.

Work cooperatively with and communicate necessary resident admission, transfer & discharge information to facility staff as required.

Keep accurate records of residents' information and follow confidentiality procedures.

Act as a liaison between transferring institutions; establish a good rapport with transferring institutions, discharge planners, etc.

Market the facility and maintain an acceptable census level.

Ensure financial admission documents are complete and accurate

Maintain resident information in PCC including but not limited to, payer trees, hospital stay dates, insurance information, ect.

Complete electronic band deposits

Track and ensure timely private pay collections

Prepare attorney collection packets as needed

Serve as the facility contact for DHHS

Assist residents with Medicaid applicants

Requirements for this position :

Great customer service skills

Experience in long term care is preferred (but not required)

Insurance verification experience is preferred

High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's Degree or higher preferred.

Strong interpersonal and time management skills

Two years of experience in long-term care / skilled nursing facility or health care preferred.
