SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - MISSION CRITICAL

Due to new incoming work, Broaddus & Associates has a strong need to hire a Senior Project Manager with Mission Critical Healthcare or Data Center experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

This role will provide professional project management and leadership on large, complex mission critical projects. Senior Project Manager will direct & support design professionals, construction managers, and various engineers, equipment providers, inspection agencies, and other required professionals to meet project goals and successful project execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Manage the planning, design and execution of data center projects by providing project leadership, communication, coordination and conflict resolution.
• Develop project plans that include schedule, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Support clients in pre-project planning activities, including site assessment, due diligence, budgeting, and approval processes.
• Manage project from initiation through completion of construction and occupancy. Responsible for project budget, schedule, and procurement of design, construction and ancillary services.
• Drive progress of consultants to achieve expected functionality; and recommend alternatives to recover negative drift.
• Facilitate timely decisions and report progress and issues impacting the project goals to stakeholders.
• Ensure design and construction documents comply with project requirements. Ensure timely review of contract documents by engineers and consultants at all phases of the work.
• Advocate for the client in contract negotiations. Develop, review, and approve design and construction contracts, changes, technical service contracts, submittals, bid documents, pay applications, etc.
• Review, interpret, and provide feedback on contractor provided documents.
• Review, verify, and approve Contractor progress billings.
• Apply project control processes to track progress, mitigate risks, and to assure compliance with client rules and regulations and if applicable, State and Federal statutes.
• Primary project liaison with client leadership, campus staff, facility user groups, operations and administration during design and contract administration to ensure timely input, manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and facilitate decisions.
• Collaborate with other colleagues to initiate and develop process improvements.

EDUCATION

• A bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Science or a technical degree in Construction Management preferred.
• Desirable Licenses, Registration, or Certifications : Project Management Professional (PMP), Licensed Engineer, Registered Architect, or Certified Construction Manager (CMAA).

EXPERIENCE

• 8 years experience (minimum).
• Experience in the utility electricity generation field is desirable.
• Prior experience in the mission critical environment desirable.
• Prior field experience at a general contractor or subcontractor desirable.
