Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer Cardiovascular with at least 1 year of specialty experience and active ARRT or RDCS / RCS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a non-invasive cardiology department
  • Patient population includes those requiring cardiovascular ultrasound procedures
  • Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week with varied start times
  • Uses Epic for electronic charting
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels for diagnostic purposes
  • Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and ensure proper exam protocols are followed
  • Assess patient status and needs, conduct diagnostic techniques, and perform appropriate interventions
  • Review and evaluate test quality and completeness, ensuring accurate documentation and communication
  • Ensure safe equipment use, perform routine cleaning and stocking, and report necessary repairs
  • Participate actively in quality initiatives and promote patient satisfaction
  • Daytime shift position with varied hours
  • Must complete background check and drug screening within specified timelines

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a cardiovascular sonographer
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
  • Active ARRT (S) or RDCS / RCS registry required; must obtain registry within 18 months if not already held
  • Current BLS certification from AHA required
  • Active license required if applicable
  • Proficiency in Epic EMR charting preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
