The Lead Line Cook will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the kitchen and everyday matters. With a top of the line menu and talented staff, we are looking for that innovative professional who will inspire the kitchen to the next level.

Responsibilities

• A successful lead line cook will be fully knowledgeable of seasonal foods and creating daily specials that coincide.
• Ideal candidate will be flexible with managing staff as well as shifts.
• As lead line cook you should be able to commend excellence from the staff and uphold the standards whether the chef is present or not.
• A lead line cook should expect to spend a quarter of his or her working hours on administrative duties (ie : assisting chef for bi-monthly inventory)
• A lead line cook should be able to see projects all the way through with no supervision and meet all deadlines to be a team player.
• Ability to promote positive interactions with guests through sincere greeting and communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, ., or equivalent.
• Culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the .
• Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check.
• Active California Food Handlers Certificate / Card required for this position.

Physical and mental requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 3 or more hours a day.
• Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
• Position may require exposure to excessive noise, exposure to dust, gas, flames, chemicals, exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness.
• Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
