How you’ll make an impact : The position is responsible for evolving our software development kit and helping define the tools and Processes needed to build compelling digital experiences.

You will collaborate closely with our services and other client teams, maintaining our multi-tenant, multi-platform, multi-runtime software development kit that is used throughout the client engineering applications.

What you’ll do : SiriusXM is looking for a creative and collaborative Staff Software Engineer with experience designing and building modern consumer web applications.

As a member of our Client Engineering team, you will participate in important architectural decisions and play a key role in the development of SiriusXM streaming music services, used daily by millions of listeners.

What you’ll need : A strong interest in collaborating via code reviews and technical discussions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A growth mindset and an ability to learn quickly. 7+ years demonstrable professional experience and 5+ years developing solutions for consumer web applications.

Experience with architectural design patterns of highly scaled web applications. Ability to effectively work cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment.

Strong understanding and experience with native JavaScript / Typescript. Expert at debugging code errors and troubleshooting API issues.

Experience with JavaScript / Typescript tooling. Experience with core technologies such as Node.JS, GitHub Actions, Webpack, Vite, Nomad, Docker, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Jest, Vitest.

Experience with writing unit, integration, and acceptance tests with Jest, Vitest, or similar technologies. Familiarity with asynchronous programming and handling API requests.

Understanding of performance optimization for network communication. A solid command of web standards, best practices, accessibility, and browser compatibility issues.

Exposure to and / or experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP or similar. Nice to have a knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines.

Nice to have familiarity with monitoring and logging tools. Nice to have familiarity with trunk-based development. Nice to have a solid understanding of React and related technologies.

Must have legal right to work in the U.S. At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $95,800 to $190,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.

Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
