Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Information Security Technical Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our organization's computer systems, networks, and data.
The Information Security Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities and ensure the overall security posture of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Provide detailed reports and recommendations for remediation.
- Security Implementation
- Implement and configure security tools, technologies, and solutions.
- Ensure the effective deployment and management of security controls.
- Incident Response
- Assist in the development and testing of incident response plans.
- Participate in incident response activities and investigations.
- Security Monitoring
- Monitor security alerts and incidents, responding promptly to mitigate security threats.
- Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Security Awareness Training
- Collaborate with the training team to develop and deliver security awareness programs for employees.
- Foster a culture of security awareness within the organization.
- Patch Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive patch management program to ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain thorough documentation of security configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Generate and present security reports to management as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- 2-5 years of experience in Information Security
- Proven experience in information security roles, including hands-on experience with security tools.
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and application security.
Skills
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.G., Python, PowerShell).
- O365 and Azure Security experience
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
