We are looking to hire an Assistant Controller. This position will require the right candidate to be a selfmotivated individual who is organized, has excellent communication skills, and has superb "people" skills.
This position offers the right candidate the opportunity to :
- Work directly with the Director of Finance
- Work with various systems to pay vendors (accounts payable) and payroll
- Work with the time & attendance system that integrates with tyhe payroll system
- Work on special projects
Position Prerequisites :
- Nursing Home Finance Office Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business management or equivalent. Or..
- Graduate of certificate program specializing in bookkeeping and business management
- Having critical / duscernment thinking
- Have superb communication and people skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to take on special projects, including union & DOH audits
- Understanding and implementing 1199 union contract agreements
- Assist in implementing new accounting sistems
- Working with the accounting staff to resolve issues related to the A / P and the payroll systems
- Assist in preparing monthly journal repoers for the accountants
