The Science and Technology Operations Manager is responsible for overall contracted logistics support and management of the NG CRE technical equipment portfolio to ensure the CRE operations, maintenance and support activities are effective and efficient in delivering mission critical capability and maintaining a high readiness state.
This position will work intimately with other external DoD organizations and civilian manufacturers to effectively administer the life-cycle support plan and other life-cycle logistical activities.
The ability to work closely with supply chains, scheduling, and logistics leadership to provide support service, and quality is critical to the success of this position.
Responsible for all logistics operations under this effort. The Science and Technology Operations Manager must have a comprehensive knowledge of the program’s supply, services and equipment management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.
Additionally, intricate knowledge of analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements.
The This manager must possess operational skills and knowledge of the automated supply and service systems utilized and must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions
Responsibilities
Liaison with the NGB J34 and the Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO) to assist in administer and execute Force Modernization and Engineering Change
Proposals (ECP) for the Analytical Laboratory and technology portfolio.
- Track, trend, and remedy engineering faults with client laboratory operations both internally and externally within the support domain.
- Ensure operations processes are aligned with the NG-CST laboratory processes and quality procedures.
- Possess systems engineering and configuration management experience managing kits, sets, and outfits and major end items.
- Leading technical projects, overseeing the initiation, planning, and executing phases of the project life cycle to fulfill capability gaps.
Qualifications
- 10 years of supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. SEC +, CPIM, DML, Certified Supply Chain Professional) will be a plus.
