Senior Mechanical Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, a Senior Mechanical Engineer will work with the program team to develop mechanical and electromechanical system designs that meet customer and company requirements.

Responsibilities
- Leads mechanical engineering design efforts through concepting, design, BOM, assembly and detail drawings.
- Performs on-site analysis for data gathering prior to design.
- Develops design documentation aligned and traceable with project contractual requirements.
- Reviews designs from other team members for accuracy and provides feedback.
- Interfaces with customer engineering and end-user contacts during project design and implementation cycle.
- Designs complex electromechanical assemblies using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD.
- Designs automated material handling equipment layouts using AutoCAD.
- Develops FAT and Field Installation documentation as required.
- Fluid Power Design is a plus.
- Supports Applications Engineering with mechanical design reviews.
- Develops mechanical cost estimates for proposals when required.
- Presents concepts to customers when required.
- Travels to site to support field efforts (10-15% travel required).
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and occasionally lift 25 lbs.
- Ensures project schedules and budgets are adhered to.
- Conducts Stress and Fatigue Analysis, Finite Element Analysis.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
- 10+ years in design of automated material handling systems and robotic handling systems.
- 6+ years mechanical project lead experience.
- 4+ years experience in an engineering leadership role.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design practices for automated systems, conveyor systems, robotic systems, pneumatic systems, and end-of-arm tooling.
- Strong proficiency in mechanical / design engineering for customized automation and tooling in SOLIDWORKS.
- Strong proficiency in general mechanical design and layout and assembly using AutoCAD.
- Proficient in complex electromechanical assembly design.
- Knowledgeable on industry standards and safety standards for automated systems.
- Knowledgeable in the design of automated systems using robots.
- US Citizen or valid green card.
