Job Summary
Main duties will be imaging private and confidential documents. Filing,
shredding, sorting documents and other duties as a signed related to general
office duties. Assist students with Financial Aid processes and questions, and perform office functions relative to the receipt of aid documents.
Customer Service functions include : explain financial aid policies and procedures, assist students and others at Financial Aid Front Desk, emails, answer telephone inquires, assist students and staff with financial aid problems and concerns, refer students and others to proper offices or persons for assistance.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties General Office duties.
Customer Service : Articulate Financial Aid policies and procedures to current and future students. Assist students at a front desk station, email station and telephone station.
Clerical : Receive and screen Financial Aid documents. File student records. Data Entry into Banner and Excel. Scan,index and file documents.
Review information from faxes, e-mail and phones to determine appropriate dissemination. Other duties as assigned. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued Minimum Qualifications High School Graduate or GED Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Microsoft programs, computer skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Good communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft programs able to learn database works well with
diverse population some experience with customer service. Basic office
procedures good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
