Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding Physician Assistant to the group at Metropolitan Hospital Center.

The Hospital is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYCHHC). Metropolitan Hospital Center accommodates over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually.

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with New York Medical College To maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant will work in the Emergency Medicine Department.

Duties Include :

• Performing history and physical examinations
• Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments
• Developing treatment plans, prescribing drugs and other therapies as needed
• Making referrals as necessary, consulting with supervising medical provider when appropriate
• Maintaining patient confidentiality

Qualifications

• BLS / ACLS certification
• NYS License Required
• NCCPA Certification Required
• Cultural sensitivity to a diverse and under-served patient population
• Must have proven ability to work in a team environment
