About The Position
Job Title : Physician - Emergency Medicine Job Specialty : Emergency Medicine Job Duration : 52 weeks Shift : Night - Up to ten 12-hour shifts per month, including occasional holidays Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Open to qualified applicants License : Valid license to practice in applicable state Certifications : Board certification / eligibility in specialty, Valid DEA, BLS or ACLS (acute care hospital), BLS or ACLS within 90 days (ambulatory clinic) Must-Have : Excellent communication skills, respect for patient confidentiality, compassionate, responsible, trustworthy Job Description : Diagnose diseases, injuries, and other conditions using history, physical exams, and diagnostics.
- Provide or prescribe appropriate treatment for patients.- Communicate options effectively to patients, address concerns, and answer questions with a patient-centered approach.
- Document accurately and completely in medical records for care continuity, compliance, quality, safety, and billing purposes.
- Offer leadership and feedback to clinical team members providing patient care.- Consult with colleagues and refer patients to other sources of care when clinically necessary.
- Be available for office visits, phone calls, electronic communication, and on-call coverage as required.- Participate in continuous quality improvement, safety, and patient experience efforts within the organization.
- Engage in continuous learning and self-improvement.- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.- Perform additional duties as defined in the physician employment agreement and as required by specialty.
