Location : Irving, TX
Shift : 12-Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
Salary Range : $32 - $53 per hour (based on experience)
Job Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As a NICU RN, you will provide specialized nursing care to newborns in critical condition, ensuring their safety, comfort, and optimal care during the night shift.
This role is critical in providing high-quality care to the most vulnerable patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, and supporting families during this challenging time.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform comprehensive assessments and care planning for neonates in the NICU, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and utilizing advanced medical equipment.
Provide patient-centered care with a focus on stabilizing and supporting newborns with severe health conditions, including premature birth or other critical illnesses.
Implement individualized care plans for neonates, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective coordination of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Educate and support families, offering emotional guidance and clear communication regarding their newborns condition and care plan.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in electronic medical records.
Ensure adherence to NICU protocols, hospital policies, and best practices to promote safety and infection control.
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
A valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
NICU experience preferred but not required.
