Summary :
The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) isresponsible for performing routine service duties and proceduresnecessary for the care, comfort and safety of the Sisters;
including performing skills to meet the activities of daily living(ADLs) and other procedures within the scope of the CNAresponsibilities.
The CNA will maintain a clean, safe environmentwhich reflects the preferences and needs of the Sisters byutilizing basic knowledge of communication techniques, infectioncontrol, safety, body mechanics, and age-related differences whenproviding care.
POSITIONQUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma orGED
- Communication skills both verbal andwritten
- Ability to remain patient and tactfulwhile performing a variety of repetitive and sometimes unpleasanttasks
- Emotional maturity and ability to avoidintrusion of personal problems on quality and stability ofservice
- Previous gerontology experiencepreferred
- Current Texas Nurse AideCertificate
