The Planner II plays a critical role in managing the production planning process for materials and labor needs to meet sales forecasts and product delivery requirements daily.

This individual handles details of a confidential and critical nature and must function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced professional environment.

Responsibilities

Performs advanced-level professional planning work and manages complex planning projects to completion

  • Responsible for material requirements planning, capacity planning, and production control activity
  • Maintains and reports on Key Performance Indicators for Planning adherence, WIP monitoring, Work Center Utilization, planning backlog, master data accuracy (planning related), customer backorder, lead time, and schedule attainment
  • Monitors and optimizes planning related master data elements
  • Supports and maintains internal forecasts for internally manufactured instruments
  • Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgement
  • Works closely with Procurement, Instrument Manufacturing, and Warehouse / Logistics
  • Ensures inventory levels and turns goals are achieved, including reduction of back orders
  • Manages daily planning meeting
  • Runs MRP at reasonable intervals and places appropriate work orders
  • Liaises with all stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of production orders
  • May consult with senior peers on projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Supply Chain or Business Management
  • At least two years of related experience in a dynamic, high-tech environment
  • Working experience in the Biotech / Life Science industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Navision
  • Advanced knowledge of the philosophies, principals, practices, and techniques of planning
  • Experience in a regulated environment preferred
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • High degree of detail orientation
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to manage communications from both internal and external sources

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $62,000 / yr.

and $85,000 / yr. provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
