Job Overview :

Hank's Tavern is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Waiter to join our team. As a Waiter, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing excellent service to our guests and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Your primary responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables
• Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials
• Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system promptly
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor guest satisfaction, promptly addressing any concerns or requests
• Clear and reset tables, ensuring a clean and organized dining area
• Handle guest payments accurately and efficiently
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Assist with setting up the dining area before service and closing duties at the end of the shift
• Stay informed about menu changes and daily specials to confidently answer guest inquiries

Qualifications :

• Previous experience as a waiter or in the hospitality industry preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Basic math skills for handling payments and POS system operation
• A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
