Located in the heart of Midtown, Mexican Radio is a laid-back taco shop. This is not a Taqueria or a Mexican Restaurant. MEXRAD has original and unique items that can't be pushed into a specific Mexican category.

POSITION SUMMARY :
Performs a variety of duties including greeting and serving guests, receiving payments, stocking product, refreshing beverages, and maintaining cleanliness of all areas of the front of house.
Provides EXTREME HOSPITALITY to create an exceptional and unique experience for all our guests to work toward the long-term goal of creating lifelong fans.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor and offer timely assistance to customers to ensure that their needs are met.
- Identify first-time guests and give appropriate menu tours.
- Inform guests of any specials and seasonal items.
- Maintain impeccable knowledge of food, beverage, and bar processes and services, so you can answer questions and make meal recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
- Assist patrons with special dietary needs.
- Prepare and serve non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
- Correctly and promptly ring guest orders into the POS system.
- Responsible for properly charging the guest and collecting payment for orders by processing cash, credit, and debit transactions.
- Own the guest experience from placing the order, order delivery, and follow up throughout the meal.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operation.
- Answer the phone professionally and according to restaurant standards.
- Open the front door for guests entering and leaving the restaurant when possible.
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
- Between seatings remove and properly dispose of paper goods, napkins, cups, and utensils. Check and clean the floor as required and reset the tabletop.
- Perform running duties and side work at the beginning and end of each shift as assigned and required.
- Stock beverage and condiment areas accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain overall front of house cleanliness including restrooms, service areas, and equipment.
- Rotate product following safety and freshness guidelines.
- Be available to fill in as needed, per the restaurant manager or your immediate supervisor, to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :
This position is well suited for a hands-on individual who is service and hospitality oriented.
- No previous restaurant experience required. One year of restaurant experience is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic equipment.
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, evenings, and special events.
- Frequent use of hands and arms, and constitution to stand on feet for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently bend and twist from the waist.
- Verbal and written English fluency.
