They operate under the supervision of th e an es th es iolo g i s t and the specialty manager..

Compensation :

$25 - $32 based on experience

On Call Compensation

• Weekday Overnights : + $3.50
• Weekend Overnights : + $4.50

Schedule :

• Open to five 8-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or three 12-hour shifts - let us know what works best for you!
• One weekend shift per week
• $2.50 for anything worked between 7a - 7p on weekends

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Perform p r e - an e sthesia examinations to determine safety and r i sk for surgery cases .
• Pro fic iency in i mplementing prescribed anesthet i c plans for cases , fr o m pre-anesthesia through

recovery , including monitoring thro u g h out.

P er form patient pain assessments and de v elop pro p osed ana l gesic p l ans fo r cases using multimodal p ain

management te c hniques .

• Understand and use CASE anesthesia forms in Smartflow and Ez V et.
• Set up and troubleshoot anest h esia machines and mo ni toring e q u i pment.
• Comp e tency in understanding anesthes i a machines maintenance programs.
• Pro fi ciency in implementing prescribed analgesic plans for anesthetic cases using local , systemic an d re g ional pain man ag ement techniques
• D e monstrate the ability to set up , maintain equipment and to i d ent i fy n o rmal an d a b normal ECG

readings.

• Understand hemod y namics of anesthesia-related h ypotension an d p ossess a b ility to troub l es h oot ane s thetic complications
• Familiarity with commonly used vasopre s sor therapy and when t o im pl ement during anesthetic procedures.
• Ab i lity to s et up an d maintain a v asopressor CRI : Norepinephrine, D o p amine, D o b utamine, Va s opressin , E pinephrine
• Profi c ienc y in a ccur a tely evaluate a patient ' s vent i lation , oxygenation and aci d / b ase status u tilizing puls e o x imetry , ca pnograph y and arterial b l ood gas results.
• On call e x p e ctations : Maintain rotation with the anesthesia on - ca ll p ro gram .

Qualifications : Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Knowledge o f b as ic v eterinary pract i ces , procedures , an d termi n o lo gy .
• Abilit y to communicate well with other CAS E staff members.
• Str o n g written and v e rbal communication skills
• Abili ty t o work independent l y and with little or no s up ervision
• Ability t o multi-ta s k and produce quality work whi l e making effective d ec is i o n
