This is a casual (per diem) position working 12-hour weekend shifts from 8 : 00am 8 : 30pm and located at Scripps Green Hospital in Torrey Pines.
This position will require you to work a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per month (Saturday or Sunday).

The Scripps Green Nursing Support team is looking for a Patient Care Assistant to join their unit. This role involves providing exceptional service to patients and assisting with weekend coverage at the main hospital information desk.
The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and be resourceful to help navigate patients and other visitors.
The candidate selected for this position will also be performing general Patient Care Assistant duties as needed to include :
- Providing excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team
- Assisting patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environment
- Assists with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician
- Supporting the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment / supply, and charge reconciliation duties

Position Pay Range : $23.46-$29.25 / hour

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.

Required Education / Experience / Specialized Skills :
- One year of recent experience working under the license of an licensed healthcare provider OR current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school OR current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentals
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitude
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider
Preferred Education / Experience / Specialized Skills / Certifications : :
- CNA certification
- Multiple patient care skills preferred
- Preferred one-year acute care experience
- Customer service experience
