Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Senior Systems Security Engineer (Security Engineering, Senior Associate) that will support our Naval Aviation acquisition programs;
which has an exciting opportunitysupporting a major ACAT developmental program. The MIL Corporation provides a full range of engineering services including cyber resiliency engineering, vulnerability research, software and hardware penetration testing, reverse engineering, support of the NAVAIR Red Team, as well as other System Security Engineering (SSE) support to Naval Aviation acquisition programs.
This position will be based onsite at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland.
This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company / contract requirements.
Responsibilities
- Participate in identification of weapon system critical program information (CPI), and determination of consequence of compromise.
- Conduct analysis and modeling on proposed architectures.
- Document protective architectures.
- Develop and advocate contractual requirements in support of developmental programs.
- Facilitate evaluation of weapons system architectures for compliance to protection standards.
- Coordinate with program, service, Joint and Department of Defense agencies to ensure system horizontal protection requirements are met.
- Assist the Navy Verification & Validation (V&V) team with assessment of system designs and solutions.
- Support program risk management, mitigation and reporting.
- Communicate across the technical teams to share information, address issues, and accelerate pace of new development.
- Serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member for systems technical events providing SSE expertise.
Travel
10 - 15% to other sites, as needed
Required Qualifications
- At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in Systems Engineering including Systems Security Engineering and associated role.
- Must have programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and / or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and as well as guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems.
- Required experience with application of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of weapon systems.
- Knowledge and direct experience in Systems Engineering, SSE and Cyber Security related to weapon systems and platforms.
- Knowledge and understanding of Systems Engineering processes and applications.
- Knowledge and experience in DoD Systems Acquisition Life Cycle.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge with Model Based Systems Engineering & Digital Engineering Transformations
- Recent and direct experience in AT systems engineering is highly desired.
- Recent and direct experience with DoD acquisitions is highly desired.
- Master's Degree in Technical Field.
Education
BA / BS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline.
Clearance
All applicants for this positionmustpossess a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain / maintain a Top-Secret / SCI clearance;

Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $176,000 - $210,000 per year.
