The team is composed of analytical-minded individuals who are passionate about technology and solving problems. We are currently seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their team and contribute to the development and maintenance of a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) system.

Job Description of the Senior Java Developer :

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based services for the SDA system.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features, ensuring that the software solutions are high-quality, scalable, and efficient.

This role requires a strong background in Java development, experience with modern development frameworks, and a commitment to best practices in software engineering.

Responsibilities of the Senior Java Developer :

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.

Requirements :

• Must commute to Chantilly, VA or Reston, VA every single day - no remote option.
• We will cover relocation
• Targeting 15 years of experience in Java development. 10 years experience minimum.
• Must be a US Citizen with a Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
• Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Proficiency in using scripting languages.
• AWS Certification or comparable Cloud experience.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
• Active TS / SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
