Position Title : Logistics & Quality Control Specialist – U.S.-Japan Supply Chain
Location : New York

Reports To : Operations Manager / Supply Chain Director
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics & Quality Control Specialist to manage the inspection and shipment of components sourced from U.S. suppliers to our facility and onward to Japan. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring that all documentation and visual standards meet the expectations of our Japanese military clients.
Key Responsibilities
Component Inspection
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming mechanical / electronic components from U.S. suppliers
- Verify compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and visual presentation requirements
- Document inspection results with precision and clarity, including annotated photographs and reports
International Logistics Coordination
Manage end-to-end logistics from U.S. suppliers to our company and onward to JapanCoordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant shipmentsPrepare and maintain shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and export declarationsDocumentation & Visual Standards
Create and maintain detailed visual documentation for all shipments, tailored to the expectations of Japanese defense clientsEnsure all records are audit-ready and meet international compliance standardsCollaborate with internal teams to continuously improve documentation workflows and visual presentationQualifications
Proven experience in component inspection (mechanical, electrical, or aerospace preferred)Strong background in international logistics, preferably with U.S.-Japan shipping experienceFamiliarity with export compliance and documentation requirementsExceptional attention to detail and ability to produce clear, professional visual recordsExperience working with or supporting military or defense-related clients is a strong plusProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or logistics platforms is a bonusJapanese language skills or cultural fluency is required
