About This Role
Compass Health Center is seeking an Associate Director for our OCD & Trauma Programs at our Northbrook facility. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in OCD, as well as relevant experience working with individuals in recovery from trauma.
This position will work in conjunction with the program Director, as well as Compass' Center of Excellence Team, to ensure appropriate support of these specialty programs.
Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings What You'll Do :
- Collaborate with Program Director and Center of Excellence Team to support and refine the OCD & Complex Anxiety Program
- Collaborate with Program Director to support cohesion and team building between the OCD & Complex Anxiety Program and Trauma Program
- Provide direct managerial oversight to up to ten staff members
- Provide individual therapy / case management or family therapy to program patients
- Coordinate care with patients’ outside providers to ensure continuity of care
- Communicate with patients’ family members or support systems, as needed
- Assess patients’ progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
- Participate in community outreach
- Conduct intake evaluations of new patients and re-intake evaluations, as needed
- Participate in interview and hiring process
- Provide group therapy, as needed
- Assist Program Director with monthly team meetings
- Lead OCD & Complex Anxiety Program’s monthly case consultation with assistance from Center of Excellence Team
- Engage in frequent communication and collaboration with program team members and multidisciplinary treatment teams via rounds, EMR notes, emails, and face-to-face communication
- Chart progress of patients in EMR
- Participate in professional development activities
- Other duties, as assigned
Who You Are :
- Expertise in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Note : will train the right candidate in ERP if they meet all other criteria
- Master’s level clinician with 5+ years of post-master’s clinical experience conducting intakes, assessments, individual, family, and group therapy
- Hold one of the following licenses : Ph.D., Psy.D., LCSW, or LCPC
- Possess knowledge and experience utilizing ERP, ACT, DBT, and CBT- among other effective and efficacious treatments to facilitate group therapy
- Have experience with patients in crisis
- Possess program development and implementation experience
- Possess experience supervising mental health workers who are licensed and / or seeking licensure)
- Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment
