As a DRAM Engineering Group (DEG) Design Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for crafting and analyzing digital and analog circuits used in the development of memory products.

This includes simulating, optimizing, and floor planning DRAM circuits. In this position, you will work and support the efforts of groups such as Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and Marketing to proactively design products to optimize all manufacturing functions and assure the best cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer happiness.

You will also be responsible for parasitic modeling and assisting in design validation, reticule experiments, and required tape-out revisions.

Responsibilities :

Product Development : Assist in the design, layout, and optimization of new Memory Products, perform circuit simulations, develop schematics, and participate in new circuit conception and design.

Layout Management : Oversee the layout process, including floor-planning, placement, routing optimization, and standard cell development.

Define Array Blocks and Pitch Cells.

Verification : Manage verification processes, perform silicon versus schematic versus layout verification, and assist in silicon design validation.

Technical Expertise & Training : Maintain technical knowledge, provide training, prepare detailed documentation, and participate in global design forums and continuing education.

Cross Group Communication : Work with various groups to ensure product manufacturability and standardization.

Leadership : Plan and coordinate projects, manage resources, track progress, prepare status reports, and hold design reviews.

Qualifications & Skills :

Knowledge of CMOS Circuit Design and Device Physics Knowledge and experience in Finesim and / or Hspice.

Knowledge in Verilog modeling and simulation tools.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

A self-motivated, hardworking teammate who enjoys working with others.

Experience with a scripting language (Python, Tcl, Perl, etc). Familiarity with memory design is a huge plus.

5+ years of Product Engineering or 3+ years of Design experience.

Digital or Analog circuit design or debugging experience.

Strong understanding of array core architectures, circuits, & functions.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey sophisticated technical concepts to peers and management.

Education :

Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or greater.
